It's been a very busy end of summer because I was hanging with my girl Carrie Bloomston's new fabric line DREAMER!!!!

Carrie asked me to be part of her talented sewing posse in sewing up some fabulous designs with her lucious new prints!  You can take a look at them all in Windham Fabric's Look Book here: DREAMER FABRIC Look book

So you want to make a great bag to say thank you for a selfless, gratious and loving friend?  I’m calling this special tote the Carrie Tote = yes, spelled CARRIE!  Made with her wonderful new Dreamer fabric, this is such a happy bag because of Carrie’s such meaningful artwork based on the plight of our bees.  Read her story @cariecloomston on IG, facebook and her blog.  I just had fun with her collection and you can , too!

I have loved her Collage, Paint and Story collections but somehow this one just got to me.  Reading about her inspiration (go click the above link and go to her blog: CARRIE BLOOMSTON Blog) and loving the color combos, it was just wonderful being able to pick from so many combos each one better than the next.

The stars were aligned this time as well and it was the right moment to write up my two patterns that I have been waiting to put together for a few years.

Say hello to my Mira Mira Bag (tm)!!

(photo cred to the  spectacular Phoenix Jill McNamara!)

Background:  My local knitting shop asked me to design a functional bag that could be a project bag, see-through and for on-the-go stitching - literally.  She wanted a bag that could be slung across her body and one that she could work from while walking around her store.  Pretty talented, eh?  So, using no hardware to get in the way of the yarn, I developed our popular bag, no called "Mira Mira" - - "look look".

After selling so many, it was time to have the pattern to everyone. But for more than just knitting projects.  We know use them for toys on the go and storage, art supplies for sponteneous creativity, and a just normal bag for getting though security at "the game"!

It will be available for download on my etsy shop   fabrications2B etsy !!  on October 25!!

Also, I have this other easy peasy pattern for a super way to use a fat quarter or some scraps from your DREAMER fabric project is the "Mira Mira Sippy Pouch" (tm)

For small toys on the go, make up, jewelry, small crafts, just about anything!  What super gifts for the holidays!!

This pattern will be available for download at my etsy shop   fabrications2B etsy !!  October 25!!

Carrie Bloomston's Dreamer fabric will be available in your LQS early 2017, but Quilt Market is this week so stop into your store and urge them to order it!!!  But if you want a little for yourself first, go to Carrie's sit for a GIVEAWAY!!!  DREAMER FABRIC GIVEAWAY!!

Go check out the other unbelievable projects made with Dreamer at the blog party this week!
